Adaptive Technology Center

Access to technology is critically important for people with disabilities to succeed in work, in school and in community activities. The purpose of the Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Southeast Library is to help people with disabilities of all ages throughout the community enhance their lives and increase their independence and productivity through the use of adaptive technology.

The ATC is equipped with a touchscreen Dell computer with a large monitor and user-friendly mouse and keyboard, a CCTV text magnifier, and a color printer. In addition, the computer is on a table that allows simple electronic adjustments for the user.

The Adaptive Technology Center is funded by the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County.
